Email Client Configuration
If you are using Outlook Express or Windows Mail, please make the following changes:
- Click on the Tools Menu, then click on Accounts
- Click on the Mail tab
- Double-click on your Provide.Net email account
- Click on the Servers tab
- Change the Incoming Mail to: mail.provide.net
- Change the Outgoing Mail to: mail.provide.net
- Change Account name to: yourusername@provide.net
- Under "Outgoing Mail Server", put a check mark next to "My server Requires Authentication"
- Click Advanced tab at the top of the window
- Change the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) port to 587
- Click the OK Button
If you are using Mozilla Thunderbird, please make the following changes:
- Click on Tools, and then Account Settings
- In the left column, scroll to the bottom and click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)"
- Click on your outgoing mail server, and then click Edit
- Change the Server Name to: mail.provide.net
- Change the Port to: 587
- Make sure "Use name and password is checked, and that the User Name is your full email address. ie, username@provide.net
- For Use Secure Connection, mark "No"
- Click OK
